Aruba Wine & Dine recognized outstanding employees

ORANJESTAD – Recently a celebration was held for the employees of Aruba Wine & Dine (AVA) at La Bodega. During the event, nominations were given for both the front of the house and back of the house from each of the 8 AVA members for February 2007: “M” and Matilde, Café the Plaza, Mambo Jambo, Sopranos Piano Bar, Tango, Salt & Pepper and MooMba Beach.

Michelle de Vree, who is a waitress / hostess at Café the Plaza, was chosen as Employee of the Month for the FRONT of the HOUSE. Her work performed above service standards & requirements, policies and procedures. Michelle is flexible, ability to work well with others and has a positive "I can do, I will accomplish" attitude.

Patricia Werleman, who is Chef de Parti for “M” and Matilde restaurants, was chosen as Employee of the Month for the BACK of the HOUSE. Her work performed above service standards & requirements. Patricia adheres to all Service Standards and has proven that these assist in a more efficient flow of work and a better service to our guests/employees.

She is willing to self offer ideas, is fair and open to ideas expressed by others and is flexible and open to change.

She is regarded as an excellent role model for others and always acknowledges guests.

She has a very professional attitude towards her obligations. Michelle reads between the lines, and doesn’t need queues or reminders,” states General Manager Martin Reinkemeyer.

With the current two restaurants and two menus she is very fast and flexible and assists colleagues,” stated General Manager Patrick van den Berg.
